The Vortex StrikeFire II Red is a proven rifle reflex sight that stands out for its reliability, wide click adjustment range, and long battery life — up to 8,000 hours (at brightness level 6).

Compared to smaller sights such as the Sparc or Crossfire, the StrikeFire II’s 30 mm tube delivers a significantly wider field of view and allows for a larger adjustment range of the dot.

Robust construction

The one‑piece 30 mm tube is made from durable aircraft‑grade aluminum, ensuring resistance to recoil, mechanical damage and impacts.

Tight sealing and dry nitrogen filling prevent lens fogging and keep moisture out, allowing safe use in rain, snow and humid environments.

The aluminum is treated with HA‑III hard anodizing, creating a matte black finish with high scratch and wear resistance.

Optical system

The sight uses lenses with very high light transmission achieved by multi‑layer anti‑reflective coatings on all air‑to‑glass surfaces. The aiming reference is a 4 MOA red dot for instant target acquisition.

The dot size is optimized for dynamic shooting at short to medium ranges, where instinctive aiming and fast transitions matter most.

The aiming point offers 10 brightness settings, allowing adaptation to ambient light and compatibility with night vision (first 2 settings).

Like most sights on the market, the unit exhibits negligible parallax that does not materially affect performance; the manufacturer therefore describes it as “parallax‑free” in practical use.

Wide adjustment range, convenient operation

Dot adjustments are made via two capped turrets (1/2 MOA per click) with a total adjustment range of up to 100 MOA vertically and horizontally.

Power on/off and brightness control use rubberized arrow buttons conveniently located on the left side of the eyepiece, enabling changes without breaking sight picture.

Long battery life

The sight is powered by a CR2 battery, providing up to 8,000 hours of operation at setting 6. Long runtime is supported by an automatic shutoff that turns the sight off after 12 hours of inactivity.

Mount

The kit includes a lower 1/3 co‑witness mount for 22 mm rails. When mounted on an AR‑style platform the dot sits above the iron sights and the optical center is 40 mm above the rail.
