Vortex Spitfire HD Gen II 5x is a new-generation prism scope designed specifically for rifles chambered in 5.56.
The Vortex Spitfire HD Gen II is a worthy successor to the popular prism optic. In this new generation, the optical system, housing, and reticle have been upgraded, resulting in a lighter and smaller 5× scope featuring HD optics and an AR-BDC MOA reticle calibrated for 5.56 ballistics.
The BDC reticle allows shooters to quickly adjust for distance without using the turrets. The high-contrast, easy-to-read reticle supports both precision and rapid target acquisition in any lighting conditions. It provides a wide field of view of 7.8/100 m and features a 1 MOA center dot, a surrounding 1.5 MOA partial ring, and a vertical post with four horizontal holdovers for 300–600 yards (274–548 m). Adjustments are made via open-style turrets, with one click equaling 1 MOA. The total adjustment range is 200 MOA in elevation and windage. The eyepiece includes a focus ring for fast, crisp reticle clarity.
The scope is powered by a side-mounted CR2032 battery. To extend battery life, an auto shut-off system activates after 14 hours of inactivity.
The package includes lens caps, a multifunction Torx wrench, a cleaning cloth, a CR2032 battery, and two mounts: a high 1/3 co-witness (40 mm) for rifles and a low (27 mm) mount.
The Spitfire HD Gen II 5× is also equipped with an MRDS platform (Mounting Micro Red Dot Sights), allowing the attachment of Vortex Viper or Vortex Venom micro red dots.
