Lightweight and durable — the perfect pistol MRDS

The sight body is precision machined from 7075 aluminum, delivering excellent strength at a minimal weight — just 42 g. It uses the popular RMR footprint for mounting. The X2 adds a horizontal button arrangement favored by many users and an IP67 rating for resistance to weather and temporary immersion. Hard anodizing improves wear and scratch resistance. Lock Mode lets you disable the buttons to avoid inadvertent brightness changes.

Optics & reticle

The HS407C X2 features lenses with multi‑layer anti‑reflective coatings for excellent light transmission and a crisp, parallax‑free image. The aiming point is a 2 MOA green dot with strong contrast against bright backgrounds. The electronics and LED are built to withstand shock, recoil and harsh environments for reliable field performance.

Solar power & long runtime

The sight runs on a CR1632 battery, rated up to 50,000 hours at brightness level 6. An integrated Solar Failsafe panel supplements the battery under strong light, auto‑adjusts reticle brightness, and can temporarily substitute for a depleted cell in emergencies. Brightness options include 10 daylight levels and 2 NV‑compatible levels.

Power saving — Shake Awake

The Shake Awake system places the sight into sleep mode when no motion is detected, enabling the impressive runtime of up to 50,000 hours. Wake the reticle simply by moving the weapon; the idle timeout before sleep is user‑configurable.
