Beneath the aiming mark is a metric-ranging scale for distance estimation and holdover adjustments. The aiming mark features red illumination (horseshoe and chevron) with 13 daylight levels and 3 night-vision settings. The AutoLive motion sensor significantly extends battery life — up to 29,000 hours at medium brightness. After extended inactivity AutoLive automatically turns off the illumination and instantly restores it when the firearm is moved.

ACSS Raptor is Primary Arms' proprietary reticle calibrated for 5.56/.308 ballistics. The reticle features a fine central chevron (inverted V) surrounded by a thicker horseshoe; a ranging scale below the chevron provides distance estimation and ballistic holdover data. The result is an intuitive reticle that excels at fast close-range shooting as well as precise mid-range engagements. Markings are given in meters for convenient field use.
