Hawke Prism Sight 4x24 5,56 BDC Dot device is an ideal solution for shooters with astigmatism, efficiently combining the best advantages of a riflescope and a red-dot in one compact device. Recommended for short and medium-range shooting.
Features of the Hawke Prism Sight 4x24 5,56 BDC Dot device:
- Optical device with a 5.56 BDC Dot illuminated reticle
- lenses coated with a multi-layer anti-reflective coating (25 layers), providing a bright and naturally rendered image at 4× magnification
- red-illuminated horseshoe reticle with a central 1 MOA dot for instinctive and rapid target acquisition
- large exit pupil distance (72 mm) allows comfortable cheek weld without requiring perfect optical alignment relative to the device
- 8 daytime brightness settings + 2 night-vision compatible settings
- interior cleaned and nitrogen-filled to prevent internal fogging of the optics during sudden temperature changes
- sealed construction resistant to shocks, moisture and dust
- aiming mark adjustment drums with 1 MOA click value
- ShakeAwake motion sensor on/off extends battery life
- low weight — the device with high mount weighs only 251 g
- reticle adjustment range 110 MOA (vertical and horizontal)
- parallax fixed at 91 m
- includes 2 Weaver rail mounts: low and 1/3 Co-Witness
- mount compatible with Micro T2 footprint
The Hawke Prism Sight 4x24 5,56 BDC Dot device uses the 5.56 BDC Dot reticle for instinctive shooting, the ShakeAwake illumination activation system, and includes two mounts that allow the device to be used on an AR15 rifle or hunting firearm.
Hawke Prism Sight device — an AR15 optic device for astigmatic shooters
The Hawke Prism Sight 4x24 5,56 BDC Dot provides 4× magnification, enabling easy target identification at medium ranges and fast both-eyes-open shooting at close ranges. Shooters with astigmatism (a common vision condition) often see a blurred or distorted aiming point when using a red-dot, making precise shooting difficult and uncomfortable. Solutions include expensive medical procedures, costly holographic devices, or the increasingly popular prism device — a hybrid of a riflescope and a red-dot.
The Hawke Prism Sight 4x24 5,56 BDC Dot features an aluminum housing resistant to shocks, dust and moisture. A generous eyebox and large exit pupil distance allow rapid acquisition without requiring exact optical alignment. Therefore, this device is excellent for dynamic shooting at moving targets when there isn’t time for a perfect cheek weld.
The 5.56 BDC reticle is calibrated for the ballistics of 5.56 NATO, .308 Win and 7.62×39. The illuminated reticle section is a horseshoe with a central 1 MOA dot, allowing instant target localization and quick transitions between aiming points. Under the horseshoe is a stadia with cross-bars for elevation corrections and range estimation. The simple, intuitive 5.56 BDC reticle suits dynamic close-range shooting and precise engagement at medium ranges.
The aiming mark offers 8 daytime brightness levels and 2 night-vision compatible settings. Illumination is powered by a common CR2032 coin cell. To extend battery life, the manufacturer uses a ShakeAwake motion-sensor controller that automatically turns off illumination after extended stillness; illumination instantly reactivates when the weapon is moved.
The Hawke Prism Sight 4x24 5,56 BDC Dot ships with accessories: 2 Weaver mounts (low and 1/3 Co-Witness), a rubber bikini cover, Kill-Flash anti-reflection cover, an Allen key, and a battery.
