Developmental version of the unique Vortex Defender collimator, this time intended for official pistols. It is therefore larger, slightly more massive, but most importantly, still extremely durable and perfectly fitting into the tactical nature of the weapon. The lens has been proportionally enlarged to provide wider field of view and the possibility of wider zero regulation . In combination with a classic 3 MOA dot, therefore, it is perfect for tactical shooting and dynamic shooting. In version 6, MOA will be an ideal choice as a complement to a business pistol or model that we use privately for personal protection. Pistols, however, are not the only option for Vortex Defender -ST - thanks to the Picatinna installation attached in the set, it will also work well at the PCC shotgun or pcc.

Vortex Defender -ST - an ideal MRDS collimator for a hidden transfer gun

The sight body was made by the method of precise milling from air aluminum 7075. Thanks to this, the device has a light and durable structure weighing only 41 g. It is finished with a hard anodizing technique, which ensures high resistance to abrasion and scratches. The basis of the collimator was made in the popular SHIELD RMS/RMSC standard, which eliminates the need to buy an additional mounting plate, or modifying weapons by a gunsmith.
The sight's forehead has aggressive rustling fast-lock , thanks to which the pistol can also be reloaded through the collimator. The sight has a waterproof and dustproof housing , supported by the polymer insert shockshield , which effectively absorbs shocks and weapon jet. The narrow profile of the viewfinder means that arriving a gun from under clothing is liquid and at the same time we can carry a weapon that does not cause the eye. The collimator has a simple and friendly interface supported by large buttons located on both sides of the housing.

Vortex Defender-ST has a high-quality lens covered with multi-layer anti-reflective coatings that provide high light transmission and a pure and sharp image without paraalax error. The sight is distinguished not only by one of the largest lenses in its class, but also the aspherical optics profile. This ensures crystalline image sharpness not only in the center, but also on the outskirts. As a result, we get a bright clear picture of the target and we can comfortably shoot in low light. Thanks to 3 versions of the sight dot (3 red/3 green/6 MOA), you can perfectly match the sight to your shooting style:

The control system and the diode are resistant to weapons and atmospheric conditions, thanks to which the crosshair works stable and efficiently and stable also in difficult field conditions. The collimator is powered by the CR2032 battery, which according to the manufacturer's data provides up to 25,000 hours of operation when setting brightness at level 6. Like in the Venom model, the battery port is located in the upper part of the device, enabling easy and convenient replacement of the power source, without the need to dismantle the viewfinder with a gun, the user has at its disposal 8 daily settings and 2 settings compatible night vision. Extended operation time, the sight owes to the use of the motion sensor , which in the absence of physical activity after 14 hours automatically turns off the diode and switches the sight to sleep. To turn on the collimator, all you have to do is pick up your weapon. Movement activation system wakes up the collimator instantly, thanks to which it is immediately ready to shoot even under longer storage.
