Walther Rotex RM8 Varmint UC 4.5 mm PCP is a modern PCP air rifle featuring a polymer thumbhole stock, a precision Lothar Walther barrel with an external thread, and a 200 cm3 air cylinder providing up to 110 shots.
The UC (Ultra Compact) version of the rifle has a shortened barrel and an efficient K3 NEO sound moderator.
The air rifle features an ergonomic stock made of durable polymer. A synthetic stock is lighter than a wooden one, resistant to weather conditions, and requires minimal maintenance.
Thanks to the shortened barrel, the center of gravity of the rifle has been moved closer to the shooter, increasing comfort and enabling faster target acquisition. An element that highlights the modern character of the rifle is the thumbhole stock with a separated pistol grip and an open thumb space.
This type of stock provides a more secure grip on the rifle, increases shooting comfort—especially for shooters with smaller hands—and reduces the overall weight of the rifle. The fore-end and pistol grip feature fine Hi-Grip texturing that prevents the rifle from slipping in the hands. The rear part of the stock features a ventilated rubber butt pad that allows the rifle to be firmly and comfortably positioned in the shoulder. Thanks to the symmetrical high-profile cheek piece, the rifle can be comfortably used by both right- and left-handed shooters. The stock stands out with its good ergonomics and balance, making shooting comfortable regardless of the shooting position.
The Rotex RM8 Varmint UC is a multi-shot rifle thanks to the use of a rotating aluminum magazine with a capacity of 8 pellets. After inserting the magazine into the action, it is magnetically secured. A side biathlon-style lever is used for cocking. Cycling is smooth and light, allowing the shooter to keep their eyes on the target. For shooting, it is recommended to use round-nose or flat-head diabolo pellets.
The Walther Rotex RM8 Varmint UC is a rifle with impressive accuracy and consistency. Its excellent shooting performance is due to three key elements: a Lothar Walther barrel, an adjustable trigger mechanism, and the recoil-free PCP power system. The rifle features a precision choked barrel with a length of 340 mm manufactured by the renowned company Lothar Walther. The high manufacturing precision ensures excellent accuracy, allowing tight shot groups even after short training.
The barrel is finished with a 1/2" UNF external thread designed for mounting the included K3 NEO sound moderator, which effectively reduces the noise of the shot. The trigger mechanism features smooth and clearly perceptible operation as well as pre-travel adjustment. A manual safety located at the rear of the receiver secures the trigger mechanism. Due to their different design and power system, PCP air rifles do not generate recoil, providing excellent accuracy and enjoyable shooting. The absence of recoil also means there is no risk of losing zero or damaging an optical device, which sometimes occurs with high-power spring air rifles.
The Walther Rotex RM8 Varmint UC 4.5 mm PCP is powered by compressed air stored in a 200 cm3 cylinder. When filled to the maximum pressure of 232 Bar, the cylinder allows approximately 110 shots with energy close to 16 J (about 240 m/s).
An integrated pressure gauge makes it easy to read the pressure in the cylinder, so the shooter knows how much air remains. To fill a PCP air rifle, it is necessary to purchase a special pump or an HP cylinder used to transfer compressed air into the reservoir.
