Walther Rotex RM8 Varmint 4.5 mm PCP is a modern PCP rifle featuring a polymer thumbhole stock, a precision Lothar Walther barrel with an external thread, and a 200 cm3 air cylinder providing up to 110 shots.
The air rifle has an ergonomic stock made of durable polymer. A polymer stock is lighter than a wooden one, resistant to weather conditions, and requires minimal maintenance.
An element that highlights the modern character of the rifle is the thumbhole‑type stock with a separated pistol grip and an open thumbhole space. This type of stock provides a more secure grip, increases shooting comfort especially for users with smaller hands, and reduces the overall weight of the rifle.
The fore‑end and pistol grip feature fine Hi‑Grip texturing that prevents the rifle from slipping out of the hands. The rear part of the stock is equipped with a ventilated butt pad, allowing the rifle to be placed firmly and comfortably against the shoulder. Thanks to the symmetrical high‑profile cheek piece, both right‑ and left‑handed shooters can use the rifle comfortably. The rifle stock offers excellent ergonomics and balance, making shooting comfortable and enjoyable regardless of the shooting position.
The Rotex RM8 Varmint is a multi‑shot rifle thanks to the use of a rotary aluminum magazine with a capacity of 8 pellets. After inserting the magazine into the action, it is secured magnetically. A side biathlon‑type lever is used to chamber the pellet. Cycling the action is smooth and light, allowing the shooter to keep their eyes on the target. For shooting, it is recommended to use round‑nose or flat‑head diabolo pellets.
The Walther Rotex RM8 Varmint is a rifle with impressive accuracy and shot consistency. Its excellent shooting performance is achieved thanks to three key elements: a Lothar Walther barrel, an adjustable trigger mechanism, and a recoil‑free PCP power system. The rifle features a precision choked barrel with a length of 500 mm made by the renowned manufacturer Lothar Walther. The manufacturing precision guarantees outstanding accuracy, allowing tight shot groups even after a short training session.
The barrel is finished with a 1/2" UNF external thread for mounting a suppressor or moderator. The trigger mechanism is characterized by smooth and highly perceptible operation and allows pre‑travel adjustment. A manual safety located at the rear of the receiver secures the trigger mechanism.
Due to their different construction and power system, PCP air rifles generate no recoil, ensuring excellent accuracy and enjoyable shooting. The absence of recoil also prevents loss of zero or damage to optics, which can sometimes occur with high‑powered spring air rifles.
The Walther Rotex RM8 Varmint 4.5 mm PCP is powered by compressed air stored in a 200 cm3 air cylinder. When filled to the maximum pressure of 232 bar, the cylinder allows approximately 110 shots with energy close to 16 J (approx. 240 m/s).
The integrated pressure gauge makes it easy to monitor the air pressure in the cylinder so you always know how much air remains. To fill a PCP air rifle, a special high‑pressure pump or HP cylinder is required to transfer air into the cylinder.
