The Optima by Hatsan brand offers the same excellent cost‑to‑quality ratio that results directly from the solutions used in the production process. The manufacturer’s extensive capabilities allow every component to be produced in a single factory, which means the air rifles are created from scratch under the close supervision of Hatsan specialists.

Optima by Hatsan PCP BullBoss M2 — PCP rifle in a bullpup configuration

The rifle features a polymer stock in a bullpup configuration (without a traditional stock layout), making the air rifle compact and highly maneuverable while still maintaining a full‑length barrel. The tactical character of the rifle is emphasized by the pistol grip and stock with an adjustable cheek piece. A rubber butt pad at the end of the stock provides a stable support point. The forearm features an integrated Picatinny rail that allows mounting a bipod or flashlight.

The rifled Hatsan QE (QuietEnergy) barrel, 585 mm long, has an integrated sound moderator that reduces the sound of the shot by about 50% while maintaining full shot energy. Choking, meaning a narrowing at the muzzle end of the barrel, significantly improves the rifle’s accuracy, and this effect is most noticeable when shooting at longer distances. In addition to the black‑oxidized receiver, the metal elements are finished with a blue finish coating.

Optima by Hatsan PCP BullBoss is powered by a removable 230 cc air cylinder, which after a full fill allows up to 150 consistent shots. The built‑in pressure gauge allows the user to read the pressure in the cylinder and monitor its fill level. The air charging port is protected by a rotating ring. To prevent corrosion of the cylinder, it is recommended to fill it with previously dried air. For this purpose, a PCP pump with a particle filter and air dryer can be used, which almost completely absorbs moisture and extends the life of the cylinder.

The BullBoss rifle is characterized by a high rate of fire thanks to the use of replaceable rotary magazines (2 magazines included) with a capacity of 10 pellets. Reloading is performed using a two‑stroke lever conveniently located on the right side of the rifle, allowing the shooter to cycle the action without taking their eyes off the target.

PCP air rifles usually do not have mechanical sights, however thanks to the top Picatinny rail it is possible to mount any selected optical device.

High accuracy is ensured not only by the rifled choked barrel but also by the 2‑stage Quattro Trigger mechanism, which allows adjustment of the trigger length and pull weight. The rifle is equipped with three systems responsible for user safety:

• Anti-Double-Pellet Feed — a mechanism preventing more than one pellet from being loaded into the barrel.
• Anti-Knock System — a system preventing air leakage in case the rifle is dropped or hit.
• Automatic safety — activated when the pellet is loaded. The safety must be disengaged before each shot.
