The Optima by Hatsan AT44-10 long 5,5 mm rifle features an ergonomic polymer stock resistant to mechanical damage and weather conditions. The massive stock has a separate pistol grip and a symmetrical thumbhole stock. The TH stock provides better control and stability when shooting in sitting or standing positions. Fine texturing on the grip and the front of the stock improves control of the rifle. The Optima by Hatsan AT44-10 long rifle has a dual 11/22 mm rail for an optical device and a Picatinny rail on the forearm allowing the use of additional shooting accessories such as a bipod or flashlight. The stock can be adjusted to the shooter’s body build and preferences thanks to the adjustable cheek piece and butt pad. Thanks to this functionality, the shooter can adjust the cheek piece and butt pad position depending on body structure, preferences, and optic mounting height.

The rifle features a precisely rifled barrel with a length of 585 mm finished with a choke that ensures better pellet guidance and sealing in the barrel. The floating barrel is finished with a 1/2” UNF thread allowing the installation of muzzle devices such as a sound moderator. The set includes adjustable fiber‑optic iron sights that can be removed if necessary. The AT44-10 long is powered by a replaceable steel cylinder with a capacity of 180 cc, which after a full air fill allows approximately 110 shots depending on the caliber and pellet used. Thanks to the built‑in pressure gauge, the user can easily monitor the pressure and remaining air supply.

The Optima by Hatsan AT44-10 long PCP rifle uses aluminum 10‑shot magazines for feeding 5.5 mm diabolo pellets. Reloading and feeding the pellet into the chamber is done using a smooth side‑lever action. During this process the magazine rotates, the pellet is inserted into the barrel, and the hammer is cocked simultaneously, allowing the next shot to be fired. The rifle’s high accuracy is partly due to the use of the two‑stage Quattro Trigger adjustable in three ranges. The user can define the length of the first and second stages and the trigger pull weight, allowing tight and satisfying shot groups after short shooting practice. The rifle features two safety mechanisms: the Anti‑Knock System, which prevents accidental discharge in case of a fall or strong impact, and an automatic safety located at the rear of the action.

The rifle comes with a set of accessories: 2 × 10‑shot magazines, a Quick‑Fill charging probe, sling swivel studs, and a set of seals.

The pellet fired from the rifle reaches a velocity of up to 200 m/s.
