The Optima by Hatsan AT44-10 long 4.5 mm rifle features an ergonomic polymer stock resistant to mechanical damage and weather conditions. The massive stock includes a dedicated pistol grip and an ambidextrous thumbhole buttstock, ensuring better control and stability when shooting in standing or seated positions. Fine texturing on the pistol grip and the fore-end improves control of the rifle. The rifle has a dual 11/22 mm rail for mounting optical sights and a Picatinny rail on the fore-end for installing additional shooting accessories such as a bipod or flashlight.

The stock can be adapted to the shooter’s physique thanks to the adjustable cheek rest and butt pad. This functionality allows the shooter to adjust the cheek rest and butt pad position according to body build, personal preference, and optic mounting height.

The rifle features a precision rifled barrel with a length of 585 mm finished with a choke that improves pellet guidance and sealing in the bore. The floating barrel ends with a 1/2” UNF thread allowing the installation of muzzle devices such as a sound moderator. The set includes adjustable fiber-optic iron sights that can be removed if needed.

The AT44-10 long is powered by a removable steel air cylinder with a capacity of 180 cc, which after full filling allows approximately 115 shots depending on the caliber and pellets used. Thanks to the built-in pressure gauge, the user can easily monitor the pressure and remaining air supply.

The rifle uses aluminum 10-shot magazines. Reloading and chambering the pellet is performed using a smooth side-lever mechanism. During this action the magazine rotates, the pellet is inserted into the barrel, and the hammer is cocked for the next shot. High accuracy is achieved in part thanks to the Quattro Trigger adjustable two-stage trigger.

The rifle features two safety mechanisms: the Anti-Knock System, preventing accidental discharge in case of a fall or strong impact, and an automatic safety located at the rear of the receiver.

The set includes accessories: two 10-round magazines, a Quick-Fill charging connector, sling swivel mounts, and a set of seals.

The pellet fired from the rifle reaches a velocity of up to 250 m/s.
