Colt Python 6" 4.5 mm BB CO2 is a pneumatic replica of the iconic Magnum .357 revolver, powered by a CO2 capsule and shooting both diabolo pellets and BB's.
The revolver has a solid construction made mostly of polymer. However, key elements such as the inner barrel, trigger, hammer, and sighting devices are made of metal, which guarantees reliable and long‑term use.
Thanks to the combination of these materials, the revolver weighs only 560 g, therefore the airgun can be comfortably used by women and younger shooters.
The airgun is equipped with a 6‑inch barrel, allowing the revolver to be used for accurate shooting or at longer distances after only a short training period.
The Colt Python 6" 4.5 mm BB CO2 uses mechanical sighting devices in the form of a fixed front sight and a rear sight adjustable vertically and horizontally. Comfortable shooting and a firm grip are ensured by rubberized grip panels with anatomical finger grooves.
All mechanisms such as the trigger, interchangeable cylinder inserts, hammer, and safety are perfectly fitted and characterized by smooth operation.
The revolver is designed to shoot two types of ammunition: classic 4.5 mm diabolo pellets and 4.46 mm steel BB's. The set includes two magazines: one (metal) designed for lead diabolo pellets and the other (polymer) for steel BBs.
This functionality means that the airgun is perfect for both precision and dynamic shooting. It is worth noting that each magazine holds up to 10 pellets, ensuring high rate of fire and comfortable shooting.
During shooting the magazines rotate automatically, just like in a real revolver.
The revolver is powered by compressed carbon dioxide supplied from a 12 g CO2 capsule. The fired BB pellet reaches a high muzzle velocity of about 130 m/s (diabolo ~ 110 m/s), which allows accurate shooting at distances up to 30 m.
Loading and replacing the CO2 capsule is very simple: just slide the polymer grip panel aside, place the capsule in the port and tighten it with an Allen key.
The mounting key is permanently attached to the grip panel, so it is always with the airgun, preventing the common problem of forgetting the tool needed to replace the capsule. One capsule allows about 60 shots with consistent muzzle velocity.
It should be remembered that the number of shots is most affected by air temperature and the shooting pace.
The revolver features a classic SA/DA double‑action trigger mechanism, which means that a shot can be fired by self‑cocking or after manually cocking the hammer.
During transport or carrying, the trigger mechanism can be locked using the manual safety located in front of the hammer.
