Umarex SA10 4.5 mm is an unconventional air pistol powered by a CO2 cartridge and equipped with a Blow‑Back system that can shoot both steel BBs and Diabolo pellets.

Design inspired by custom firearms

The pistol features a metal slide, a gold‑colored barrel with an external thread (for suppressor installation), a manual safety and a partial disassembly function similar to that of firearms. The air pistol uses fixed sighting devices — a front sight with a white dot and a rear sight with yellow markers. The contrasting markings speed up sight alignment and allow shooting even in low‑light conditions. At the front of the frame there is a mounting rail allowing the use of additional shooting accessories such as a laser pointer or flashlight. Grip stability and control are ensured by fine texturing on the side panels and an anatomically shaped grip.

CO2 cartridge gas power

The air pistol is powered by a 12 g CO2 cartridge installed in the grip. The compressed carbon dioxide propels the pellets at a velocity of up to 130 m/s and allows accurate shooting at distances of up to 20 m. A quality CO2 cartridge allows for about 60 consistent shots. The number of shots also depends on air temperature, shooting dynamics and proper maintenance of the air pistol. It should also be remembered that a pierced CO2 cartridge can remain in the pistol for no longer than 48 hours.

Sighting devices and mounting rail

The Umarex SA10 features fixed mechanical sighting devices. These include a rear sight and a front sight with bright yellow dots that help align both elements quickly. At the front of the frame there is a 22 mm Picatinny mounting rail. It allows the installation of additional shooting accessories such as a laser aiming device, tactical flashlight or training device.

Ability to shoot two types of ammunition

The air pistol is designed to shoot both standard 4.5 mm Diabolo pellets and 4.46 mm steel BBs. This is possible thanks to an innovative magazine that holds four rotary clips (including three spare ones), each with a capacity of 8 pellets. After firing the pellets from the first clip, simply slide out the magazine and install the next pre‑loaded drum. Thanks to this functionality, the pistol can carry up to 32 pellets for recreational and precision shooting.

Trigger mechanism and safety

The air pistol uses a DAO trigger mechanism (double‑action only), allowing shooting exclusively with self‑cocking. The advantage of this solution is simple and intuitive operation, making the air pistol an excellent choice for people who are just starting their adventure with airgun shooting. Safety is ensured by the trigger safety.
