Smith&Wesson M&P40 czarna 4.5 mm BB CO2 is a budget CO₂ air rifle that faithfully replicates the American Smith Wesson M&P40 pistol.

Faithful replica

The air rifle features a solid construction consisting of a heavy metal slide (fixed) and a polymer frame referencing the design of the original M&P40.

Just like the original, the pistol has a comfortable grip, a fiber-optic rear sight, and a frame equipped with a 22 mm accessory rail that allows mounting a flashlight or laser device.

The pistol grip has anti-slip texturing, ensuring a stable and comfortable hold.

The air rifle uses mechanical sights consisting of a fiber-optic rear sight and a front sight marked with a white dot. This allows much faster sight alignment, easier target acquisition, and shooting in low-light conditions.

Firearms and military enthusiasts will certainly appreciate the fact that licensed Smith&Wesson markings are applied to the air rifle.

Efficient power system

The air rifle is powered by a 12 g CO₂ cartridge mounted in the pistol grip after removing the grip panels. Compressed carbon dioxide gives the BB pellets a velocity of up to 130 m/s and allows accurate shooting at distances of about 20 m.

A high-quality CO₂ cartridge allows approximately 80 consistent shots. The number of shots mainly depends on air temperature, shooting dynamics, and proper maintenance of the air rifle. It should also be remembered that a pierced CO2 cartridge should not remain in the air rifle for more than 48 hours.

After this time, the cartridge should be removed or fully used. Installing and replacing the cartridge is very simple and requires only sliding the grip panels aside, inserting the cartridge into the magazine, and tightening it with the thumb screw.

Steel BB pellets

The removable metal magazine holds 19 steel BB pellets of 4.46 mm, which work best for recreational shooting at reactive targets, cans, bottles, etc.

Thanks to the convenient placement of the magazine release button, users with larger hands can release the magazine without changing their grip.

The magazine follower can be locked in the lower position, allowing gravity loading of pellets directly from the container.

Unlike lead pellets, BBs do not deform even under pressure, so they can be safely loaded into high-capacity magazines.

DAO trigger mechanism

The air rifle uses a DAO (double action only) trigger mechanism, allowing shooting exclusively with self-cocking.

The advantage of this solution is primarily simple and intuitive operation, which makes the Smith&Wesson M&P40 air rifle perfect for beginners starting their journey with airgun shooting.

During transport or storage, the trigger mechanism can be locked using the external safety located on the right side of the frame.
