Legends Makarov 4.5 mm BB CO2 is a compact full-metal air rifle, being a faithful replica of the historic Makarov pistol.

Full metal construction

The air rifle features excellent fit and finish, with almost the entire construction (except for the grip panels) made of metal.

The pistol has a metal construction with a weight close to the original (685 g), a checkered grip, a smooth SA trigger mechanism, and a metal lanyard loop.

The polymer grip panels, imitating the bakelite used in the original, feature subtle checkering that prevents the rifle from slipping during shooting.

Attention to detail is highlighted by the metal lanyard loop on the grip, originally used to secure the firearm against loss. The air rifle features a movable slide with reloading capability and an almost identical field-stripping procedure.

This allows the slide to be removed in the same way as on a firearm. The Legends Makarov 4.5 mm BB CO2 uses fixed mechanical sights, recommended for precision shooting and training.

Automatic reloading

The air rifle is powered by a 12 g CO₂ cartridge installed under the grip panel. Compressed carbon dioxide propels the steel BBs up to 120 m/s, enabling accurate shooting at distances of approximately 15 m.

A quality CO₂ cartridge allows for approximately 60 consistent shots. The number of shots also depends on air temperature, shooting pace, and proper maintenance. A pierced CO₂ cartridge should not remain in the rifle for more than 48 hours.

After this time, it should be removed or discharged. Installation and replacement are very simple: just remove the grip panel, insert the cartridge into the grip, and tighten it with the pressure screw.

Steel BBs 4.46 mm

The metal magazine, removable from the grip, holds 20 steel BBs 4.46 mm, which are best suited for recreational shooting at reactive targets, cans, bottles, etc.

The magazine follower can be locked in the lower position, allowing gravity-fed loading directly from a container. Unlike lead pellets, BBs do not deform under pressure, making them safe for use in high-capacity magazines.

DA trigger mechanism

The rifle features a DA (double action) trigger mechanism, enabling firing exclusively in self-cocking mode.

During transport or storage, the trigger mechanism can be locked using the left-side manual safety lever.
