The NVEC-14 monocular features an automatic shut-off function when tilted upward.

- To turn the device on, press the potentiometer knob three times in a row with an interval of no more than 1 second;

- Power on: the blue indicator flashes twice (500 ms);

- Power off: the blue indicator flashes twice (250 ms);

- To shut off, tilt the device upward by more than 90°.

The NVEC-14 monocular is also equipped with bright-light protection, helping prevent optical system damage and extending the device’s service life.

To activate this feature, press the potentiometer knob five times in a row with an interval of no more than 1 second:

- Activation: the green indicator flashes twice (500 ms);

- Deactivation: the green indicator flashes twice (250 ms);

- If illumination exceeds the threshold (IC value 120) for 1 minute, the image tube switches off;

- Press the potentiometer knob again to turn it back on.

The NVEC-14 monocular also features a built-in IR illuminator, providing improved visibility in complete darkness.

Operating status:

IR illuminator activated – the indicator LED glows solid red.

- IR illuminator deactivated – the LED is off.

The NVEC-14 monocular includes an automatic sleep mode, helping conserve battery power and prolong device lifespan.
