Vortex Venom 5-25 × 56 FFP is a peerless optic for long-range shooting, ideal for shooters beginning their long-range journey.
The Venom riflescope blends high-quality optics, reliable mechanics, and functionality similar to the Strike Eagle series at an unprecedented price for this category. Its major strengths include the EBR-7C FFP reticle, a 34 mm main tube, a wide magnification range, and the RevStop Zero System that enables an easy return to initial zero. The Venom 5-25 × 56 FFP fills the gap between the Diamond Tactical and Strike Eagle lines, delivering everything a long-range shooter needs to make accurate shots out to 1000 m.
Vortex Venom — built for long-range shooting
Vortex Venom 5-25 × 56 FFP 34 mm AO EBR-7C was designed for shooters who want an optics platform that allows a professional yet budget-friendly entry into long-range shooting.
The Venom offers professional features, precise mechanics, reliable operation and Vortex’s lifetime VIP warranty. Combined with excellent XD glass, a first-focal-plane reticle, side-parallax adjustment and low-profile turrets with quick-reset capability, it becomes a proven tool for precision shooting at an affordable price.
34 mm main tube
The one-piece main tube is machined from a single billet of 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring strength against recoil, corrosion and mechanical damage. The anodized tube features a durable anti-reflective finish that resists scratching and wear. Precision sealing and dry-nitrogen purging eliminate internal lens fogging and provide IPX7 protection — the scope is resistant to rain, snow and temporary immersion.
A 34 mm tube enables increased elevation adjustment range (85 MOA or 25 MRAD), allowing engagement at extreme distances. Exterior lenses are protected by a hard ArmorTek coating that resists scratches, contaminants, moisture and oils. This construction enables safe use in harsh weather conditions without risking optical damage. The 388 mm long scope has a relatively light weight of 992 g.
Vortex Venom — crystal-clear image
The Vortex Venom 5-25 × 56 FFP 34 mm AO EBR-7C uses XD lenses that deliver high resolution, edge-to-edge sharpness, faithful color rendition and a bright image free from chromatic aberration.
XD glass is made with a low dispersion formulation, improving resolution and contrast. Another advantage of this glass is its relatively low density, which helps keep the optic lighter. Outstanding image quality is also achieved through an apochromatic lens design (APO), which focuses three wavelengths (red, blue and green) on the same plane. A distinguishing parameter of the Venom is its high light transmission, which preserves image brightness even in challenging lighting conditions.
All air-to-glass surfaces receive multi-layer anti-reflective coatings, so even at the low 5× setting you get a sharp, bright view of the target.
EBR-7C reticle
The FFP reticle scales with magnification, providing comfortable readout and accurate holdovers. Field of view at 100 m ranges from 7.1 m (5×) to 1.6 m (25×). A long 91 mm eye relief allows use with corrective eyewear, reduces eye fatigue and protects the shooter from recoil.
The EBR-7C is a versatile first-focal-plane reticle tailored for long-range shooters, military operators and law enforcement. For maximum durability and reliability the reticle is laser-etched and sandwiched between two glass layers. The EBR-7C is specifically designed for long-range work: it enables precise range estimation, drop compensation, wind holds and moving-target calculations. You can choose the reticle in MRAD or MOA when purchasing.
Parallax adjustment and RevStop tactical turrets
The side parallax knob allows smooth compensation of parallax error (the apparent shift of the point of aim when the eye moves off the optical axis). Parallax correction lets you precisely focus the image for the distance you are engaging.
Elevation and windage are adjusted with open, low-profile turrets with knurled rings designed for use even with tactical gloves. Each click moves the point of impact by 1/4 MOA (or 0.1 MRAD); the full adjustment range is 85 MOA / 25 MRAD in elevation and windage. The scope features the RevStop Zero System, which enables rapid return to your original zero. For the shooter this means you can dial in corrections freely and at any time return to the baseline zero point.
Vortex Venom — features
- First-focal-plane reticle for accurate holdovers at any magnification,
- horizontal stadia marks for wind corrections (1 MOA / 0.2 MRAD spacing),
- thicker marks beneath the horizontal stadia for moving-target holds at low magnification (2 MOA / 0.5 MRAD spacing),
- a small dot aiming point to facilitate precise shot placement.
