Vortex Razor III HD 1-10x24 FFP 34 mm AO EBR-9 MOA/MRAD is a tactical riflescope with 10× magnification, an illuminated first focal plane reticle, and HD optics with XR coatings that ensure excellent image quality, light transmission, and a durable 34 mm tube.
The Vortex Razor III HD 1-10x24 FFP is the latest premium-class scope with a HD optical system of outstanding performance and a versatile 1–10× magnification, allowing shooting both at close and long ranges.
Its reliable construction, excellent optical parameters, and versatility make this riflescope ideal for sport shooting as well as professional use by law enforcement and the military.
Armored construction
The reinforced 34 mm tube is made from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminum 6061-T6, ensuring resistance to shocks, recoil, corrosion, and mechanical damage.
Unlike 1-inch and 30 mm tubes, the 34 mm tube provides a wider adjustment range of the reticle (120 MOA or 30 MRAD).
The anodized tube features a highly durable anti-reflective Stealth Shadow finish, aiding in shooter concealment, while also preventing scratches and surface wear.
An extended zoom lever can be mounted on the eyepiece (included), allowing quick magnification adjustments.
Precise sealing and argon-purged optics completely eliminate internal lens fogging and provide IPX7-rated protection against rain, snow, and water immersion.
The external lenses are coated with ultra-hard ArmorTek, protecting them from scratches, dirt, moisture, and oils. This design allows the scope to be safely used in any weather without risking optical damage.
Premium-class optics
The Vortex Razor III HD 1-10x24 FFP 34 mm AO EBR-9 MOA/MRAD uses HD lenses that deliver incredible resolution, edge-to-edge sharpness, natural color fidelity, and a bright image free from chromatic aberration distortions.
HD lenses are made from low-dispersion glass, enhancing resolution and contrast. Another advantage of this glass is its relatively low density, which reduces overall optic weight.
Impressive image quality is achieved thanks to the apochromatic lens system (APO system), which focuses three wavelengths (red, blue, and green) on the same plane.
This system produces an image of exceptional resolution, clarity, natural color balance, and—most importantly—without distortions or color fringing.
A parameter that clearly distinguishes the Vortex Razor III HD 1-10x24 FFP 34 mm AO EBR-9 MOA/MRAD from competitors is its outstanding light transmission, ensuring brightness in nearly all lighting conditions.
XR fully multi-coated lenses are applied on all air-to-glass surfaces, resulting in a very bright and crisp sight picture even at 10× magnification.
First focal plane reticle
The Vortex Razor III HD 1-10x24 FFP 34 mm AO EBR-9 MOA/MRAD features a first focal plane reticle. Depending on needs, buyers can choose between the EBR-9 MRAD or EBR-9 BDC reticle.
The etched glass reticle guarantees zero stability. The advantage of a first focal plane reticle is that it scales proportionally with magnification, simplifying holdovers and corrections at higher zoom levels.
The aiming point features 11 brightness settings with a locking mechanism. The wide adjustment range ensures comfortable use in any lighting conditions, including with night vision devices (lowest brightness setting).
The generous eye relief (91 mm) keeps the shooter’s vision relaxed, as no adaptation to the field of view is required when acquiring the target.
This also ensures comfortable use for eyeglass wearers and protects against recoil from high-caliber rifles.
Reticle adjustments are made via capped, low-profile turrets with knurled caps, allowing changes even while wearing tactical gloves. Each turret click moves the reticle by 1/4 MOA (or 0.1 MRAD), with a total adjustment range of 120 MOA / 30 MRAD vertically and horizontally.
Precision and reliability of reticle adjustments are ensured by a friction-reduction system built from high-quality brass, heat-treated steel, and polished chrome-vanadium steel components.
