Hawke optical devices for crossbows are engineered for uncompromising durability and high performance, designed for shooting in challenging field conditions.
The Hawke XB30 Compact Crossbow 1.5-6x36 IR is a compact optical device for crossbows with a one-piece 30 mm tube made of matte anodized aircraft-grade aluminum. With a compact 236 mm length and weight of 429 g, it does not noticeably increase the crossbow’s mass, enhancing user comfort and mobility. The wide-angle optical system is sealed and purged with dry nitrogen, preventing fogging even during sudden temperature changes. The waterproof and dustproof tube ensures reliable operation in all weather conditions throughout its service life. The device is shock-resistant and safe to use on powerful crossbows.
A key feature influencing the performance and versatility of the Hawke XB30 Compact Crossbow 1.5-6x36 IR optical device is its advanced reticle, designed for compound crossbows with varying initial bolt speeds.
The device features a red illuminated XB30 Compact SR reticle in the second focal plane, with precision settings for distances from 18 to 91 m (zero at 18 m) and a fixed parallax of 46 m. The reticle consists of 4 converging arms toward the center, an illuminated cross with a precise range scale (every 5 yards), and windage markers. The eyepiece has a diopter adjustment ring and a locking knob (patent applied) performing two functions: magnification adjustment and defining the speed of bolts. To precisely match the reticle to the crossbow, set the magnification/FPS ring according to your bolt parameters. After zeroing at 50 yards (45 m) and setting the initial FPS, the reticle indicators will match the bolt drop trajectory. The reticle offers dual-color LED illumination (red or green) with a 5-level adjustment, allowing brightness and color adaptation to lighting conditions and personal preference.
Magnification / FPS adjustment range:
The device features the H2 optical system with fully multi-coated anti-reflective lenses (14 layers). This provides brightness, a natural high-resolution image, and reduces chromatic aberration. Low-profile capped turrets have 1/2 MOA click adjustment. The full reticle adjustment range is 180 MOA vertically and horizontally. Metal caps protect sensitive optics and can be quickly installed or removed using the included tools.
