The scope has a one-piece 25.4 mm tube made of anodized aircraft-grade aluminum with a matte finish. Thanks to precise sealing and nitrogen purging, the optics are resistant to fogging (internal condensation) and unaffected by weather conditions. The solid scope construction and use of a compensation mount allow the optics to be used even on powerful spring air rifles. The lenses are coated with an anti-reflective coating that increases light transmission and provides a bright, sharp target image, even in low-light conditions. The eyepiece has a ring for precise focus adjustment. The scope also has variable magnification 3-9×, allowing the shooter to choose between a wide field of view or a magnified target image. The 40 mm objective provides good brightness and comfortable shooting in low light.

The Diana 3-9x40 features a popular Duplex reticle consisting of 4 thick posts that transition into thin hairlines in the center. Duplex is one of the most popular reticles, allowing both precise and fast shooting in variable lighting conditions. The reticle is adjusted using capped turrets with a click value of 0.25 MOA. The 40 mm objective provides good brightness and comfortable shooting in low light. Changing the turret setting is confirmed by a clear and loud click, allowing precise and quick reticle adjustments.

The objective features a ring for smooth parallax adjustment from 9.6 m to infinity. Parallax correction allows precise image focus depending on shooting distance. The Diana scope comes with high mounting rings for an 11 mm rail, polymer lens covers, and an Allen key. Diana 3-9x40 1" AO Duplex can be used on spring air rifles, CO₂ rifles, and ASG replicas.
