Beretta M9A3 FDE FM 6 mm is a licensed premium-class ASG replica. It is a developmental version of the Italian semi-automatic pistol, the iconic M92 model, until recently used by the U.S. Army. The model features faithful reproduction, a metal slide with a powerful Blow-Back system, CO2 power supply, and partial disassembly capability. The presented version comes in FDE (brown) color.
M9A3 FM features highly realistic construction highlighted by its metal frame and slide. The original Beretta M9 is designed for military, police and civilian markets. The polymer grip panels replicate the same texture as the firearm version. Realism is enhanced by licensed manufacturer markings and logos applied to the grip and slide.
The model is powered by a 12 g CO2 capsule installed in the magazine. Compressed carbon dioxide enables semi-automatic shooting without the need to rack the slide after each shot. A quality CO2 cartridge allows for approximately 60 consistent shots. The number of shots depends on ambient temperature, shooting pace and proper maintenance. A pierced CO2 capsule should not remain installed for more than 48 hours. The Beretta fires BBs at a muzzle velocity of 344 FPS, which is an excellent result for a replica with a metal moving slide. Shot count depends mainly on temperature and shooting dynamics. The model also features a Hop-Up system responsible for accuracy and range.
The model uses a double/single action (DA/SA) trigger mechanism characterized by short travel and relatively light pull. The main advantage is the ability to deliver precise shots without pulling off target. When firing with the hammer lowered (DA), the trigger pull is longer and heavier (relevant due to the decocker present in the firearm version).
The gas-powered design allowed implementation of a strong Blow-Back system, providing realistic slide recoil after each shot. The noticeable “kick” pleasantly imitates real firearm shooting. One capsule allows up to 60 shots with consistent muzzle velocity.
The Beretta M9A3 features fixed mechanical devices. They consist of a rear sight and front sight with distinctive white dots for easier alignment. A 22 mm Picatinny rail is located at the front of the frame, allowing installation of additional accessories such as a laser marker, tactical flashlight or training device.
The pistol includes a manual safety in the form of a lever located on the slide, easily operated with the thumb. The replica comes with a metal magazine inserted into the grip, with a 22 BB capacity.
