LED flashlight Fenix PD40R v3.0

Fenix PD40R V3.0 to Small EDC flashlight with a maximum light stream of 3000 lumens , equipped with a rotating switch, USB-C fast charging port , battery level indicator and efficient battery with a capacity of 21700 with a capacity of 5000 mAh.  Version 3.0 is distinguished by even better stream parameters, which now allow for lighting the target over a distance of up to 500 meters! SOS mode, communicating the Morsse alphabet, has also been put at the user's disposal.

Construction

The tubus of the flashlight is made of anodized air aluminum A6061-T6 , which affects its low weight and ensures resistance to mechanical damage. Transverse surface melleting prevents the flashlight from slipping from the hand and gives it a modern look.

The optical system is protected by the crown (elevated head elements), protecting glass in the event of a fall or setting on an uneven surface.

The flashlight measures only 138 mm, its weight with a battery 21700 5000 mAh is less than 200 g , so it can accompany us not only during a trip, camping or hunt, but also in our daily activity.

Thanks to the elastic clip (with the possibility of disconnecting), the flashlight can be attached and moved on the lane, at the backpack or bag, so that it is within reach.

In the new edition of the flashlight, the manufacturer gave up the rear switch, as a result of which the flashlight gained a new function of the so -called candle mode , i.e. the ability to set the light vertically. This allows the interior lighting of the tent, room or other limited, in which the light can reflect evenly.

Universal lighting

The light source is the new generation Luminus SST70 LED diode, emitting the maximum light stream of 3000 lumens at a distance to 405 m.
White color of light limits eye fatigue, provides more natural color reflection and better visibility of details.

Anti -reflective glass with high light transmission and a smooth smooth reflector, thanks to which a wide stream of light can effectively illuminate objects even up to 405 m. Such optics parameters allow not only for lighting distant goals, but also effective work in limited spaces, which is why Fenix PD40 V3.0 will work great as a tourist flashlight hunters or tactical lighting.

Operating modes

The flashlight offers 4 modes of solid light. Less amount is perfectly affected by the functionality and interface transparency. Most of us use only 2 or 3 light modes in their daily activities, which is why, following the voices of users, Fenix deliberately limited their scope. The element that distinguishes the Fenix PD40R is the turbo 3000 lumens mode, in which the flashlight works up to 160 minutes! in a low mode of 30 lumens, the flashlight works almost 4 days.

Rotary mechanical switch

in fenix PD40R The light switch is used to switch and change the light mode . The ring works smoothly, Its service is instinctive and convenient in everyday use.  The mechanical switch is reliable and safe , and its work does not disrupt the magnetic field.

Power supply

The flashlight is powered by a 21700 cell with a capacity of up to 5000 mAh ! The cell used has nearly twice the capacity than the standard 18650 cell, which affects the efficiency and extended working time.

According to the manufacturer's information, the 21700 battery allows up to 160 minutes in turbo mode and nearly 4 days of operation in low mode. Thanks to the attachment of the Alf-18 adapter, the flashlight can also be powered with a standard 18650 cell .

Battery level indicator

Thanks to the battery level indicator (LED in the body) and low voltage warning, we can control the work of the flashlight and manage the remaining energy supply. After turning on the flashlight, the indicator for 3 seconds informs us about the state of the battery.

  Fenix PD40R V2.0 has an integrated USB-C charging port, allowing for very fast charging cells without having to remove it from the flashlight . We charge 21700 battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh in just 3.5 hours!

  The USB-C port also allows you to charge the flashlight from the portable power-ban , significantly increasing the mobility and Fenix PD40R capacity. The nest is protected against moisture, water and rubber dust.

  Security

  In the flashlight, several security systems used, among others protection against inverted polarization, low -voltage warning and "intelligent protection" against overheating.

  High protection class IP68 causes the flashlight resistant to total immersion in water (30 minutes at a depth of 2 m), dust and dirt and fall.

  The presented parameters were obtained in laboratory conditions. During the tests, the Fenix ARB-L21 5000 MAH battery was used .
