Fenix LR40R V2.0 is a new version of the portable spotlight, which, after being modernized, offers a luminous flux of 15,000 lumens, a range increased to over 900 meters, and a 25% longer runtime.
The Fenix LR40R V2.0 is another spotlight in the Fenix brand offering, combining impressive light parameters, small size and weight, and excellent functionality.
The 175 mm long body is made of aircraft-grade aluminum finished using the HAIII anodizing process, creating a durable protective coating with high scratch and abrasion resistance. The transverse grooves in the head act as a heat sink, dissipating excess heat generated by the array of 17 LED emitters. The tempered glass with 98% transmittance is coated with an anti-reflective coating, minimizing light loss. The wide head ends with a raised steel ring that allows for vertical positioning of the flashlight without the risk of damaging the optics. The milling of the body improves the grip and grip of the flashlight and gives it a modern style. The flat base allows the flashlight to be placed vertically ("candle" function) and effectively illuminates the interior of the object being explored. The rear section features a hook for attaching a lanyard or safety rope.
Fenix LR40R V2.0 - searchlight with a beam of 15,000 lumens
The flashlight's impressive parameters are achieved thanks to the use of two groups of emitters: 16 Lumileds HL2X LEDs (max. 12,000 lumens) for diffused light and 1 Luminus SFT70 LED (max. 3,000 lumens) for focused light. The user can use each mode individually or turn on all emitters, thus obtaining a total beam of 15,000 lumens and a working range of over 900 m! The user can, of course, adjust the brightness level and use additional flash modes - S.O.S. and strobe.

Fenix LR40R V2.0 - professional flashlight for search and rescue operations
The second generation of the flashlight has undergone a significant change in the operating method. The manufacturer has implemented a unique rotary switch and an electronic switch, which allow for easy management of 16 light settings. Thanks to this functionality, the flashlight can be conveniently operated with one hand and instantly activate the lighting intensity needed for a given situation. The location of the switches on the side of the flashlight (under the thumb) makes use and changing light parameters very intuitive and convenient.
The Fenix LR40R V2.0 also has a switch lock that prevents the light from being accidentally turned on during transport. To do this, simply set the ring to the Lock position. The flashlight uses an intelligent proximity sensor that automatically detects when the head is too close to the illuminated object. After reducing the distance from the object/wall, etc., to less than 60 mm and illuminating it for 1.8 seconds, the flashlight automatically lowers the brightness level (to eco mode). When the head is moved away from the illuminated object, the flashlight controller automatically restores the previous brightness level.
A very convenient feature is the LED indicator that indicates the battery charge status, activated by a single click of any switch (flashlight off).
Battery level indicator symbols:
- 5 LEDs lit: 100-80%
- 4 LEDs lit: 80-60%
- 3 LEDs lit: 60-40%
- 2 LEDs lit: 40-20%
- 1 LED lit: 20-1%
The Fenix LR40R V2.0 is powered by a built-in (non-removable) 15,000 mAh (3x5,000 mAh) battery pack, which can last the flashlight for over a week in eco mode (10 lumens) or 150 minutes in turbo mode - 15,000 lumens (total runtime). Thanks to the USB-C port and support for QC2.0 fast charging protocols, the 15,000 mAh battery can be charged in just 4 hours. The flashlight also features a USB-C port, allowing the Fenix LR40R V2.0 to also function as a power bank, allowing you to quickly charge your smartphone or other device. The ports are protected against moisture, rain, and dust with tight rubber caps. For safety and proper operation, the Fenix LR40R V2.0 has overheating protection, reverse polarity protection, and a low battery warning. The flashlight has a high IP68 protection rating, meaning it is completely resistant to dust and dirt, small solid objects, complete immersion in water (for 30 minutes at a depth of 2 meters), and a fall from a height of 1 meter.
All light and durability parameters of the flashlight comply with the ANSI/PLATO FL1 standards.
The presented parameters were obtained under laboratory conditions. Three built-in 5000 mAh batteries were used during testing.
