The Fenix HP30R V2.0 is a professional headlamp for adventurers, emitting a 3000 lumen beam and an effective range of 270 m. After modernization, the flashlight is powered by two 21700 batteries, the highest capacity on the market, and features a built-in USB-C fast charging port and an extremely convenient and responsive rotary switch.
Fenix HP30R V2.0 Headlamp - a Flashlight for Extreme Applications
The flashlight has a durable aircraft aluminum body, which has successfully passed 2 m drop tests. The aluminum alloy effectively dissipates heat generated during operation and is resistant to mechanical damage, corrosion, and weather conditions. The HP30R V2.0 headlamp, like its first version, consists of three main elements: a light module, a separate power pack, and an elastic headband. The external battery pack has an additional extension cable that allows you to conveniently carry the power pack in a backpack, a jacket pocket, or on your pants/backpack belt. Thanks to this design, you can effectively protect the batteries from frost in winter conditions and adapt the headlamp to your specific outdoor activity. The set includes seven clips (4 helmet clips, 3 headband clips) that facilitate organization and secure attachment of the power cable.
Thanks to this design, the Fenix HP30R V2.0 is perfect for cave exploration, camping, night hiking, search and rescue operations, and any outdoor activity requiring comfortable, long-lasting lighting.
Advantages of the external case:
- ensures even weight distribution, better headlamp stabilization, and comfort of use,
- allows you to charge the batteries while working (built-in USB-C port),
- the battery case can be protected from frost by wearing it under your clothing,
Fenix headlamp - the perfect solution for every hiker and mountain enthusiast
The main light source of the headlamp is a large CREE XHP50 LED that emits a maximum beam of 2000 lumens. This impressive illumination allows you to illuminate a large cave, slope, or forest wall from up to 270 meters away. The white light better illuminates distant areas, and also creates the impression of significantly greater brightness. The light from the main LED reflects a smooth reflector, creating a well-focused beam, useful for exploration, examining passages, and admiring distant objects. To minimize light loss, the flashlight uses ultra-clear tempered glass with an anti-reflective coating for high light transmission.
In addition to the long-range emitter, the headlamp uses two additional diodes: XP-G3 S4 with a neutral color. Small CREE XPG-3 S4 emitters emit light with a warm color (3500 K) and a high CRI of 75. This allows the colors of objects and the surroundings to be rendered much better (than with cold light) and appear natural. The light from the small emitters is dispersed using collimating lenses. The wider and evenly dispersed 100° beam is ideal for illuminating work areas or campsites, and will be appreciated by photography enthusiasts and those who, even during a night in the woods, can't resist a good night's sleep reading. Using a flashlight with neutral light in winter will help you avoid unpleasant glare from light reflected off snow or ice. The flashlight has an adjustable beam angle (up to 60°), which is adjusted by tilting the flashlight module forward.
Simultaneous activation of all emitters in turbo mode creates a beam of light with an output of up to 3000 lumens, making the Fenix HP30R V2.0 suitable for search and rescue operations.
Fenix Headlamp with Power Bank Function
The Fenix HP30R V2.0 headlamp is powered by two 21700 Fenix ARB-L21-5000 lithium-polymer batteries with a capacity of up to 5000 mAh. 21700 cells are the highest-capacity batteries on the market, guaranteeing the longest operating time of the flashlight.
Charged batteries provide up to 120 hours of operation in low flood mode or up to 5 hours of operation with all emitters in turbo mode (total runtime). If you want to extend the flashlight's runtime, simply connect an external power bank to the built-in USB-C port. The USB-C port has a high charging current of 2A, allowing you to charge the battery in just 4.5 hours. Charging via the USB-C port is done without having to remove the battery from the headlamp. This functional and convenient solution has been appreciated by many mountain enthusiasts, survivalists, and hikers. The 21700 battery pack can be used as a portable power bank, allowing you to charge your smartphone several times. It's important to know the battery level during cave exploration and outdoor activities, so the HP30R V2.0 flashlight features an LED indicator that informs the user about its condition (this feature only works with Fenix ARB-L21 series batteries).
Battery level indication:
- 4 blue LEDs: 100-80%,
- 3 blue LEDs: 80-60%,
- 2 blue LEDs: 60-40%,
- 1 blue LED: 40-20%,
- Pulsing blue LED: 20-1%,
Fenix HP30R V2.0 - Headlamp with Rotary Switch
The v2.0 model features a single rotary switch, which activates and changes all flashlight modes. The switch's high responsiveness combined with an extremely simple and intuitive interface ensures unprecedented ease and comfort of use. Turning the knob clockwise controls the focused light. Turning it counterclockwise controls the brightness of the diffused light. To turn on all emitters, simply press the knob. The cross-shaped grooves on the switch make it easier to operate the flashlight while wearing winter gloves.

Fenix headlamp with a comfortable headband
Comfortable carrying of the headlamp is ensured by the flexible rubber headband, which is responsible for comfort and efficient sweat wicking during exercise. An additional stabilizing strap and a set of clips make it easy to adjust the headband to the user and secure it to a helmet.
Advanced Security
The Fenix HP30R V2.0 features reverse polarity protection (incorrect battery installation), which can damage the electronics. The flashlight also features overheating protection, which is automatically activated when the temperature reaches a pre-set temperature set by the manufacturer. The flashlight boasts a high IP66 rating, meaning it is resistant to dust, heavy rain, and temporary immersion in water. This makes the HP30R V2.0 suitable for use in all weather conditions and extreme outdoor activities.
The presented parameters were obtained under laboratory conditions. 21700 Fenix ARB-L21-5000 batteries were used during testing.
