Light for various applications

The main source of light of the flashlight is SST40 diode with a cool color , which emits the maximum stream of 1250 adhesives. Light with a white color is better illuminated by distant places, we also have a much greater brightness. The light of the main diode is reflected in a smooth Smooth headlight, creating a well -focused stream with a maximum range of over 260 m, useful during exploration, testing of passages and admiring distant objects. Such an impressive performance was achieved, among others Thanks to the use of hardened Fast Ultra-Clear with anti-reflective coating with high light transmission, covered and smooth headlight, which precisely concentrates the light of the diode. In addition to a large-range emitter, 2 additional LEDs were used in the lead: XP-G3 with a neutral color and the red light of the Everlight 2835 diode. Cree XPG-3 emits light with a warm color (3500 K) with a high color factor CRI 75 . This means that the colors are better reflected than in the case of cold light, and the illuminated items look natural. The light of small emitters is scattered with collage lenses. A wider and evenly distributed stream is ideal for illuminating the workplace, campsites, they will be appreciated by photography enthusiasts and people who, even during accommodation in the forest, will not refuse to read "to the pillow". Using a flashlight with neutral light in the winter, we will avoid unpleasant blinding with light reflected from snow or ice. At the same time, including white LEDs in maximum mode, the headlamp generates the total light stream 1250 lumens ! Such impressive illumination allows the lighting of a large cave, slope or forest wall even from a distance of 200 meters. The flashlight has a lighting angle adjustment (up to 60 °), which we make by tilting the flashlight module forward.

USB-C charging port

The Fenix HP16R headlamp is powered by the Fenix ARB-LP lithium-LP lithium-polymer battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh, which, if necessary, can be replaced with 4 popular AA batteries. The charged battery provides up to 12 days in low mode diffused light (5 lumens) or 4 hours of lighting the main diode in turbo mode (1250 lumens). If we want to extend the work of a flashlight, it is enough to connect a large-capacity portable power bank to the built-in USB-C port. The USB-C port provides high charging current 2 A that allows you to charge the battery in just 2.5 hours. Charging through the USB-C port is done without having to pull the battery out of the top. The cable attached to the battery is 38 cm long. This functional and convenient solution has already appreciated many mountain enthusiasts, survivalists and tourists.

Comfortable control

Thanks to the use of two buttons, the flashlight operation is very simple and convenient and most importantly, it does not require removing the flashlight. The enlarged switches have been placed in the upper part of the top, which facilitates their location and allows convenient operation of gloves.
The switch on the right is responsible for turning on/off and change the brightness of the focused light, the button on the left performs the same functions for the scattered and red light.

A convenient band

comfortable carrying the flashlight on the head provides flexible rubber band , which is responsible for comfort and efficiently leading sweat during exercise. Additional Stabilizing belt and a set of clips make it easier to fit the band to the user, as well as its fastening on a protective helmet.

Advanced security

The protection against inverted polarization (incorrect battery installation), which may lead to damage to the electronic system, has been used in Fenix HP16R. The flashlight also has protection against overheating , initiated automatically after reaching the temperature defined before the manufacturer. This model also uses a lock mode, which prevents accidental switching on the flashlight during transport. The flashlight is characterized by a high IP66 protection class , which means that it is resistant to dust, dust, strong rain and temporary immersion in water. Thanks to this, HP16R can be successfully used in all weather conditions, regardless of physical activity.

The presented parameters were obtained in laboratory conditions. During the tests, the Fenix ARB-LP 3000 Li-PO battery was used.
